about
For Ann Maree Jago, jewellery is both personal adornment and a way of preserving meaning.
Through Sylvia Grace Jewellery, she creates necklaces and other pieces that balance timeless elegance with individuality. Each design is thoughtfully assembled by hand, allowing the natural beauty of its materials to remain central.
Pearls hold a special place within the collection. Ann Maree uses a traditional silk-threading technique, knotting the strand carefully between each pearl or bead.
This detailed process creates a graceful, fluid drape that follows the contours of the body. The knots also protect the materials from rubbing together and help keep the strand secure should it ever break.
Ann Maree is equally drawn to jewellery that has already lived another life. Old, damaged or no longer worn pieces may contain beautiful beads and pearls that deserve to be seen again.
Rather than allowing these materials to remain forgotten, she carefully reworks them into new designs. Their original history is not erased but becomes part of a reimagined piece ready to be worn and valued once more.
This combination of traditional technique and thoughtful reuse gives each piece its own character. Variations in colour, surface and material become part of what makes the jewellery distinctive.
Sylvia Grace Jewellery celebrates the idea that beauty can be both enduring and renewed.
Because sometimes the most meaningful pieces are those given another story to carry.

Cool blue and green beads meet vivid red accents, with a freshwater pearl bringing a soft lustre to the centre.
This one-off necklace combines blue howlite and green chalcedony with small red glass beads. The alternating colours create a lively rhythm, while markings within the blue beads add detail and variation.
A large freshwater pearl sits at the centre, its softly irregular shape contrasting with the rounded beads. Its rippled surface catches the light, reflecting Sylvia Grace Jewellery’s appreciation for natural beauty, texture and colour.
A distinctive necklace to wear against a simple neckline, allowing the pearl and contrasting colours to stand out.
