Lisa Watkins
A garden made from what might otherwise have been forgotten.
Wonderwall is a large-scale sculptural work by Lisa Watkins, created from hundreds of individually formed roses made from acrylic signage offcuts, CDs, melted plastic and found fragments.
From a distance, it reads as an abundant field of colour. Up close, another world appears — flashes of lettering, iridescent surfaces, translucent petals and tiny remnants of the materials each rose once was. There is always something else to find.
Highly reflective and constantly changing with the light, Wonderwall brings colour, movement and a little magic into a room. It can be hung vertically or horizontally, allowing it to become a striking focal point within very different spaces.
Part of Lisa’s Sign of the Times series, the work transforms discarded materials without completely erasing their past — traces of their former lives remain hidden amongst the garden.
acrylic signage offcuts, CDs, melted plastic, flotsam and jetsam, resin and spray paint 130 × 81 cm 2026
