Vibrant, symbolic and filled with layers of discovery.
In Visual Story, Edie Chappell brings together bold colour, expressive marks and symbolic details to create an artwork that unfolds like an unwritten story.
A white trailing vine descends through the composition as a symbol of growth, while delicate white butterflies suggest transformation, memory and hope for the future. Botanical forms, fragments of letters and numbers, repeated dots and gestural marks appear among rich layers of blue, green, orange and red.
Rather than presenting one fixed meaning, the work invites viewers to look closely, feel their way through its layers and discover a story of their own.
At just over one metre high, Visual Story has a confident presence and would bring colour, energy and a sense of discovery to a living room, entranceway or contemporary commercial space.
Vibrant. Transformative. A story waiting to be discovered.
