The Kauri Garden

Tracey Purkis

In The Kauri Garden, Tracey Purkis captures kererū feasting on plump puka berries, watched by curious kākāriki. Bright-eyed tauhou search through tangled clematis, while a wary wētā hides deep in the shadows.

Inspired by her own garden, Tracey brings together her love of birds and stylised observations of nature. Each creature adds another small story, inviting viewers to slow down and discover the life within the foliage.

Its tall, slender format would bring botanical interest to an entranceway, hallway or narrow living room wall, offering new details to notice each time you pass.
