Miracle of the Slave

Timothy Peter Armstrong

Golden, coral and blue forms rise and fold beneath a pale, atmospheric expanse.

In Miracle of the Slave, Timothy Peter Armstrong brings together sweeping curves, dark hollows and fragmented shapes in a richly layered composition. Ochre, soft pink, olive green and muted blue contrast with passages of white and charcoal, creating depth and a sense of shifting movement.

Drawing on his practice of dismantling and reimagining historical paintings, Timothy transforms fragments of figures, gestures and space into an open-ended abstraction. Layered brushwork allows forms to emerge and dissolve, inviting the viewer to find their own connections within the painting.

Its horizontal proportions would bring colour and thoughtful presence to a living room, study or wall above a console, pairing naturally with timber, ceramics and understated interiors.
