Two quiet silhouettes meet across an intricate web of hand-cut lines.
In Looking Back, Looking Forward, two figures bow their heads on either side of a complex network of intersecting lines. The contrast between their solid forms and the delicate paper cutting invites a closer look.
Created by hand from deep black paper, the artwork brings together fine detail and a striking monochrome composition. Its title offers a starting point for reflecting on what lies behind us and what may be ahead.
With its detailed design and black-and-white palette, this work would make a thoughtful feature in a living room, bedroom or study.
