Deep teal curves and candy pink stripes bring playful energy to an airy white canvas.
In Lolly Scramble Lulu, Kirsty Black gathers sweeping green, turquoise and near-black brushstrokes around a centre of magenta and white. Flashes of yellow and pale blue brighten the layered forms, while scattered dots lead the eye into the open space above.
Kirsty’s imagined story celebrates Lulu’s triumph at the annual picnic lolly scramble, proudly showing off her loot. The lively marks suggest a character emerging from the colour, inviting viewers to invent their own version of the adventure.
Its tall format and balance of bold colour with breathing space would make a striking focal point in an entranceway, living room or dining area.
