A luminous yellow circle meets vivid blue and warm concentric rings, drawing the eye towards a quiet, dark centre.
In Lokah Samastah - 2, Harinder Rajpal surrounds a deep burgundy core with bands of red, pink and orange. A broad yellow field and an outer blue ring create a striking contrast, interrupted by gold accents and passages of text that reward a closer look.
Working in reverse with oil paint on glass, Harinder brings together geometric abstraction and reflections on resilience, loved ones and wellbeing. Developed in response to the pandemic, the Lokah Samastah series expresses his wish for everyone to be happy and free, offering colour as an invitation to pause and reflect.
This painting would bring a bright focal point to a living room, entranceway or study, pairing beautifully with natural timber, blue furnishings and warm neutral interiors.
Luminous · Vibrant · Contemplative
Oil on 3 mm glass · Approximately 61 cm wide × 61 cm high (24 × 24 inches)
Black frame · Slightly more than 2.5 cm deep
Some room images show Lokah Samastah - 2 alongside Lokah Samastah - 1. Each artwork is sold individually.
