Looping ribbons of pink, blue and turquoise weave through bold black lines, creating an intricate flow of colour and movement.
In Continuum, Amanda Smart layers sweeping curves and angular pathways across the canvas. Pale grey and white bands contrast with dark outlines, while glimpses of green, red and ochre add depth to the densely patterned surface.
The work explores the ongoing nature of thought, time and perception. With no fixed centre, its shifting rhythms invite the eye to wander, discovering different connections and details with each viewing.
This painting would bring movement and colour to a living room, entranceway or creative workspace, pairing beautifully with natural timber or furnishings that echo its pink and turquoise palette.
