Atmospheric, mysterious and quietly powerful.
In Beyond, Edie Chappell looks beyond the city to the darkness of the open sky, where scattered points of light move across the land like small blessings.
Layers of charcoal grey, black and soft white are interrupted by warm rust and gold, creating a surface that feels both weathered and luminous. Sweeping white lines travel through the composition, while circular forms and delicate marks suggest distant lights, shifting constellations and movement through the night.
At 900 mm high, Beyond has a strong vertical presence without overwhelming a space. Its restrained palette and richly layered surface would sit beautifully in an entranceway, living room, bedroom or contemporary commercial interior.
Mysterious. Layered. Alive with scattered light.
Ink, charcoal, graphite and acrylic paint on stretched canvas 900 H × 600 W mm Canvas depth Approximately 38 mm D-rings and hanging wire attached; ready to hang
UNFRAMED room images show framing possibilities only.
