Layered greens, woven shapes and rhythmic stitches bring a tactile energy to this small abstract work.

In Untitled 8, Elizabeth Harcourt combines acrylic painting and stitch on paper. Green and turquoise passages overlap with burgundy, yellow and soft pink, while intersecting strips create a woven pattern across the upper half.

Rows of red and pale yellow stitches travel through the composition, adding texture and rhythm. Drawing on Elizabeth’s background in textiles, the work brings painted marks and thread into a layered conversation.
