un petit oeuf

Alice Power

Two wide-eyed figures cradle a pale egg, bringing a tender, storybook quality to this circular painting.

In un petit oeuf, Alice Power depicts two young, pointed-eared figures nestled together in folds of olive and earthy brown fabric. Their blue eyes and softly illuminated faces contrast with the dark background, while their overlapping hands hold an egg at the centre of the composition.

Working in acrylic, Alice combines careful figurative detail with atmospheric colour. The imagined characters reflect her fascination with emotion and quiet mystery, inviting viewers to wonder about the treasure they hold and the story surrounding them.

This painting would bring warmth and curiosity to a reading nook, bedroom or gallery wall, with its circular shape complementing natural timber, soft textiles and earthy interiors.
