Roadside reflects Adrienne Rewi’s fascination with the overlooked patches of bush, grasses and foliage growing along the edges of everyday journeys. She can often be found parked beside the road, photographing the unexpected shapes, textures and natural compositions that catch her attention.
Rather than presenting a literal roadside scene, the work celebrates these in-between spaces as places worthy of closer observation. Layers of mixed media transform familiar vegetation into an expressive landscape shaped by memory, curiosity and Adrienne’s instinctive response to place.
Roadside is a reminder to slow down and notice what exists beyond the obvious—the small, untamed pockets of beauty encountered along the way.
