Fiordland Crested Penguin / Tawaki A4

$99.00

furnACE — Andrew Eccles

A crested tawaki stands among coastal rocks and native foliage, its white chest striking against warm timber.

In Fiordland Crested Penguin / Tawaki 3D Layered Silhouette Timber Wall Art, the penguin’s upright stance anchors a detailed shoreline scene. Fine cutwork traces its swept-back crest, surrounding ferns and forest forms, while white accents reveal its chest, eye and the rocky ground beneath its feet.

Designed, made and finished in Andrew’s Helensville workshop, the piece combines a walnut-stained birch plywood overlay, white cast-acrylic middle layer and stained timber backing. The three layers create depth and shadow throughout the bird and its coastal habitat.

Its compact size would bring natural warmth and distinctive character to an entryway, living room or study, complementing timber furniture and earthy colours. Presented in a protective gift box, it also makes a thoughtful gift.
