In Morepork / Ruru 3D Layered Silhouette Wall Art A3, a ruru faces the viewer from a flowering branch. Warm stained timber defines the owl and foliage, while crisp white details highlight its distinctive eye rings, feather patterns and surrounding blossoms against a dark grey woodgrain backing.
Designed, made and finished in Andrew’s Helensville workshop, the piece combines a stained birch plywood overlay, white cast-acrylic middle layer and stained plywood backing. The spaces between these three layers create shadow and depth, bringing the fine cutwork into focus.
