Kōkako A3

$159.00

furnACE — Andrew Eccles

Fine feather details and dense forest forms surround the distinctive silhouette of the kōkako.

In North Island Kōkako 3D Layered Silhouette Wall Art A3, a kōkako perches among ferns, flax, native grasses and branching trees. Warm stained timber defines its long tail and curved profile, while crisp white accents reveal the intricate feather and foliage cutwork against a dark grey woodgrain backing.

Designed, made and finished in Andrew’s Helensville workshop, the piece combines a stained birch plywood overlay, white cast-acrylic middle layer and stained plywood backing. The three layers create depth and shadow throughout the detailed forest scene, enclosed in a solid timber frame finished with hard wax oil.

This piece would bring natural warmth and a connection to Aotearoa’s forests to an entryway, living room or study, complementing timber furniture, warm neutrals and deep green accents.

Intricate · Layered · Distinctive
Stained birch plywood, white acrylic and stained plywood backing · A3 portrait format
33 cm wide × 45.6 cm high, including frame
Natural timber grain and hand finishing vary slightly between pieces.
Some room images show this piece alongside other furnACE works. Each is sold individually.

For each Native Bird Wall Art piece sold, furnACE sets aside NZ$2 for quarterly donations supporting New Zealand native bird conservation.
