In Fiordland Crested Penguin / Tawaki 3D Layered Silhouette Wall Art A3, the tawaki’s upright silhouette anchors a detailed scene of shoreline forms, ferns and branching trees. Crisp white accents define its chest, eye and sweeping crest, with smaller openings revealing the intricate surrounding habitat.
Designed, made and finished in Andrew’s Helensville workshop, the piece combines a stained birch plywood overlay, white cast-acrylic middle layer and stained plywood backing. These three layers create depth and shadow against a dark grey woodgrain ground, enclosed in a solid timber frame finished with hard wax oil.
This piece would bring natural warmth and coastal character to an entryway, living room or reading corner, complementing timber furniture, pale walls and dark accents.
